Playa Las Galgas beach

Playa las Galgas is a sand beach in Playa Paraíso which is in the area of Costa Adeje in the sunny southwest of Tenerife.

The beach

In 2009 Playa las Galgas was rebuilt by the local authorities and the 5-star-hotel which is next to the beach. Now the beach offers the a perfect swimming fun. It is a little beach with black volcanic sand, which lies in a natural bay. For natural shading some palm trees were planted and to ensure the water quality, the water is tested regularly at a laboratory.

There are no restaurants directly at the beach, but you will find a lot of good ones in the area nearby.

Playa Paraíso

Playa Paraiso is located directly at the sea, at the south-west coast, between Los Gigantes and Playa de las Américas.
It is surrounded by banana plantations, and is only a few kilometers away from Adeje.

In the town centre there are many shops, restaurants and bars.There is a beautiful beach embedded between rocks. The big public pool area, from where you can see the island of La Gomera in case of good weather, is situated a bit higher. Near the sea there is also a diving school. The golf courses Abama Golf and Golf Costa Adeje can be reached in a few minutes by car. There is a daily bus service from Playa Paraiso to Playa de las Américas.
