El Salto Tenerife South

At an altitude of about 270m and ca. 4 km below Granadilla is El Salto, a small, typical Canary town with old casas rurales, which have been lovingly restored. Furthermore, you find in El Salto countless caves, where the Guanches (natives) used to live, as well as dreamlike views of the coast and the sea.

El Salto and the surrounding small towns of Las Palomas, El Draguito, Los Blanquitos, El Desierto belong to the municipality of Granadilla in the south of Tenerife, also known because of the 6 km long natural sandy beach in the coastal town of El Médano.
Agriculture, gentle tourism on the coast, tourism in the countryside on fincas and many plantations characterize the appearance of the municipality of Granadilla. The products from the local agriculture of the municipality of Granadilla are well-known all over the island and are sold at the weekends on the farmers' market Mercadillo de Agricultura. Apart from wine and cereals, especially vegetables, potatoes and pulses are cultivated in Granadilla.

The coastal town of El Médano with the well-known, almost 6 km long natural sandy beach is only ca. 6 km away. There is a beach section for nudists, directly at Montaña Roja at Playa Tejita.
