Property description
This detached and original Canarian holiday home is located in a calm area of Tenerife and has an unbeatable price. It is ideal for nature lovers, individual holiday makers, hikers, but also for families or befriended couples.
The house is situated in the centre of El Tanque in the green north of Tenerife. You can reach the supermarket, a pharmacy, restaurants, banks, shops, a post office and a medical center on foot.
El Tanque has a good infrastructure and is not far away from the wine village of Icod de los Vinos and the former harbour city Garachico. There are several bathing spots as well as a sailing and a fishing port. A golf court is near Buenavista and in Santiago del Teide there is a riding stable. Surfing and diving courses are offered in Puerto de la Cruz. Several beaches are reachable within 10 - 15 km. The safest beach is the San Marcos bay, here you can swim nearly the whole year. El Tanque is surrounded by 3 nature protection areas. Due to this the location is ideal for hiking. Puerto de la Cruz is about 25 km, the island capital Santa Cruz about 65 km and the south airport about 55 km away.

The house offers one bedroom with double bed, one bedroom with two single beds, a livingroom with chimney and reading area and a bathroom. The kitchen is equipped with high-end equipment.
The house also has a large terrace with grass carpet and wooden ceiling.
A cot, a highchair as well as toys are available for free. This also applies for private parking lots and 2 bikes.
Internet is free of charge and if you bring a tablet or laptop with the appropriate cable you can watch TV via internet.

Mrs. Lopez Rodriguez is a very friendly lady! If you don't know enough Spanish, she will help you in English. The house is in such an incredibly quiet location that relaxation is pre-programmed.
I was horrified by many of the tourist-perverted places I visited. El Tanque, on the other hand, is a wonderful place. Towards the north-east, you will find the town of Garachico, which is also quite tranquil - but the bathing area that is advertised there was closed when I was there.
